Review of Carnage (2002) by Paul W — 25 Jul 2012
Shouty-crackers four-way ensemble thinks it deconstructs the middle-classes but just succeeds in putting your teeth on edge. Polanski shoots the actors pretty much in one real-time scene in one room, aiming for claustrophobia and discomfort but achieving the opposite - a detached staginess and veil of unbelievability.
