I watched the 5 hour version and I thought it was terrific but alot probably depends on your level of interest in the subject matter. things slow down in the 3rd act as carlos spends many years in hiding.
still fascinating stuff with a powerhouse performance from edgar ramirez as the womanizing egomaniacal international terrorist for hire called carlos the jackal.
