The version of this that I watched was actually 339 minutes, not 175. insanely long, yes, but I was hardly bored for a minute of it. edgar ramirez is terrific in the lead role. strange musical direction, though.
I mean the music is great post-punk mostly (wire, new order, fripp & eno, the feelies, a certain ratio, etc.) but this is a period piece taking place mostly pre-punk. strange. either way, you should watch this and don't say it's too long.
it's broken up into three parts and you've certainly wasted way more than 5 1/2 hours on way dumber shit than this. since i'm on a roll, i'm watching "che" next.
