I had not heard nice things about this... but I will gave it a shot...
Better than its reputation but not nearly as good as Brian DePalmas film.
Do not compare it to Carlitos Way with Al Pacino but see it as just another movie based on the same books. The books that this moive and DePalmas film is based upon are Edwin Torres was called Carlitos Way and After Hours.
