There's nothing I don't love about Carlito's Way. The acting is superb, the story is great, the pacing is tight, the characters are interesting. Pacino and Sean Penn are, unsurprisingly, just perfect in their roles.
I love the way De Palma films... it's just so interesting to watch. The huge tracking shots, the occasional odd angle, etc. He never overdoes any angle or shot in this film. Definitely one of his top five.
