Review of Carlita's Secret (2004) by Phil B — 18 Aug 2008
£1 from Woolies. I wouldn't have been too shocked if this was awful to be honest. I must say that biggest problem here was, as seems to often be the case, somebody couldn't be bothered putting subtitles on the UK DVD.
With the relatively strong accents in the film, I found pulling the plot out of the dialogue a little more difficult than average, but with no subtitles to the rescue it was a bit of a pain. Aside from that, though, the plot was at least reasonable, and while there is a certain sense of low-budget about it, it's really quite passable.
Not one to rush out to watch, but if you have a spare night and a spare pound, heck - why not?
