Review of Capturing the Friedmans (2003) by Rob G — 01 Nov 2008
Like a car wreck... frightening, at times disgusting, but certainly is hard to look away from. This movie, like Little Children reinforces that evil lurks even in seemingly harmless places, in this case in the upper-middle class town of Great Neck, Long Island.
The filmmakers do a good job of somehow being fairly even-handed to both sides of the story, even when there is little defense for Arnold and Jesse Friedman's side.
