Review of Capturing the Friedmans (2003) by Chris P — 22 Aug 2009
Fascinating movie about family and the hysteria that surrounds child abuse. The victims in this film are a hard find as his family, the unfortunate kids in the magazines and 2 kids outside of the case seem to be the only certain victims. Brilliantly paced, it is twisted the way the boys rally around him and cast out the mother and you do have to remind yourself all the way through this guy was caught with magazines full of young boys.
A great movie enhanced by the families own footage of the whole thing. Watch it now your skin will crawl but you wont forget it in a hurry.
