Review of Capturing the Friedmans (2003) by Bill A — 04 Feb 2010
UUUUGGGHH what a creep-show of a family! This movie makes me deeply question the advent of the consumer camcorder. Some people should not be granted such frequent access to these devices (or should they be required to tote them so around at all times?).
This film is hauntingly disturbing in that it perfectly documents an entire family of sociopaths. This is a fascinating psychological study that made my skin crawl and left me wanting to slap absolutely everyone involved (except the brother who refused to be interviewed for the film).
Humanity has never looked so despicable.
