Review of Capturing the Friedmans (2003) by Janna L — 08 Dec 2010
I was working at a rape crisis center when I saw this movie, which undoubtedly colored my perception of the film. However, I'm not sure if it was in a biased-against-the-accused manner or more of an "OK, this is one more thing to add to the weight of all the unpleasant sh*t I've seen this year" Regardless, I know I walked out of the theater feeling some combination of angry and numb.
Not to mention really irritated at the guy who kept laughing throughout the movie. Because, you know, pedophilia is hilarious.
