Review of Captivity (2007) by Dave R — 09 Mar 2008
It's hard to connect to the main character in this sub-par horror when she is, by her own admission, a fame-addicted shallow puppet for the modeling industry. It's also hard to see how a movie like this got made (albeit on the cheap judging by all the Mexican names in the credits) with such an appalling script. It's difficult not to laugh out loud at some of the dialogue. The police procedural side of things is also hilariously mismanaged.
Note that there are two cuts of the film in circulation, this review refers to the original cinema version.
