Review of Captivity (2007) by Kayla P — 10 May 2008
This movie has a BIIIIGGG problem... Elisha Cuthbert's character is not developed enough at all at the beginning, so when she is abducted you really couldn't give a crap about her... Then she is tortured in a few quite sickening demented ways just for kicks and you think the director is just a sick pervert.
.. Then there is finally a bit more characterization, with another introduced and it becomes more human... The problem is for the first half you've been wanting to turn it off. What could have been a great film ended up as just 'OK'.
