Review of Captain Phillips (2013) by Hillary D — 16 May 2014

Phenomenal! I NEVER rate a movie 5 stars but this is a first. The story was intensely calculated & portrayed with a compelling cast. WOW-o-meter is off the charts because the souring abusive hostage situation shifts oh so dramatically when the Navy said, "stop the tow.

.." The trauma & shock could drive any sane person to insanity. The rescue & realization that Captain Phillips was in safety was nearly mind-blowing. That series of false promises of safety from the pirates would have been mind-warping under such horrific conditions of hostility.

This movie serves as a great reminder of how blessed we are to have such heroes in our armed forces to fight acts of terror no matter how big or small.
