Good, isn't he? That Hanks chap. Always puts in a shift with the exception of that airport film (but then what can you do opposite Cathetine Zeta whatserface?) Looks like a normal bloke but performs like the superlative actor he is.

The medical scene at the end of the film is a tour de force. Gripping stuff without straying into the God Bless America schmaltz these US military escapades often fall prey to. The event is enough. No need to start genuflecting to the real people who inspired it.
