Review of Captain Phillips (2013) by Adam B — 03 Jun 2014

So tense & gripping. Towards the end it does start to feel like it's been going on for a while, but the intensity just grows at such speed that I didn't mind too much. It is a little surprising that a cargo ship would sail through waters known for piracy but it was great to see a film based on modern piracy which puts you in the shoes of the terrified desperate victims, but in a strange way also makes you feel sympathy for the pirates.

Not sure I'd be feeling much sympathy if I was actually in the situation though!
