Master storyteller Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, Ultimatum) leaves his fingerprints all over this exceptional thriller. Does anyone do tension better? Tom Hanks' everyman Captain Phillips never quite breaks down the fourth wall; Catherine Keener appears briefly as the "Helen Hunt phantom wife".
