One of Hollywood's best directors- Paul Greengrass has presented the world with one more stupefying and flabbergasting film- Captain Phillips.

The film follows the experience of Captain Richard Phillips (played by Tom Hanks), after his cargo ship is hijacked by Somalians. Tom Hanks gave an impressive performance and deserves full appreciation. Somali actor Barkhad Abdi too gave a noticeable performance which did add on to the fervent atmosphere.

This film was able to capture the intense plight and the comportment of the characters extremely impressively. Recreating a life like situation is always a big challenge for every director, more so because of the high conjecture. But each and every element of this film made it praiseworthy and credible. The background score, lighting, set, and the visual effects gelled extremely well together to make this film a success and even the tactical means to overcome the Somalians were projected exceptionally. This film provided a state-of-the-art element mainly because of the way it was adduced. The only thing that I found faulty was the cinematography; as much as I loved the intensity that the camera could capture, I do believe that the scenes could surely have been filmed a lot more clearly.

Everything- from a good script to a good experience is provided by Captain Phillips and is a must watch for all those who appreciate smart cinema.
