Review of Captain Phillips (2013) by Jim S — 23 May 2014

Very intense film full of fantastic performances (especially Tom Hanks and Barkhad Abdi) and rock solid direction of an equally sure footed script. Unfortunately, because it's based on events that happened in the last 10 years, we know what's going to happen so that sort of takes some of the suspense out of the intensity.

Still, it's very good and a solid piece of entertainment.
