Captain Marvel is the miserable spectacle of an abusive aristocrat with a chip on their shoulder talking down to a servant audience, smugly demanding credit for delivering such a valuable lesson. A sad yet seemingly inevitable outcome that, flush with the success of the MCU, Disney now peacocks with an air of moral authority, their bulging coffers a testament to their cultural acumen.
