Horst Janon is a very blonde and wooden in the role of Captain Kronos, late of some Imperial Guard, who is one of Europe's finest swordsmen and a professional vampire hunter. The guy is very good in the action roles and the film works very well, providing a neat twist on the vampire legend.
The film also has Caroline Munro as Kronos' love interst, always a plus. And it was directed by Brian Clemens who was one of the creative forces behind the British cult-TV series THE AVENGERS, another plus.
