Review of Captain Fantastic (2016) by Gregory V — 03 Dec 2016

Really wonderful film with a nice critique of the banality of capitalistic culture and lovely portrayal of the bonds of familial love. it has a facile critique of Christianity, a deeper reading of which actually could have been an ally.

Of course the banality of much Christianity, co-opted as it by capitalism, in the U.S. deserves just such a critique and will topple under its own weight, just as well the institutionalized usury that is capitalism will.
