Review of Captain Fantastic (2016) by Kate M — 04 Dec 2016
What if the most alternative gen x'ers were to "keep it real" all through their family life, shunning toned-down language and washed-down America to the point where they raised their children on revolutionaries rather than Christmas? This interesting cast seeks to answer that question, and unwind the moral knot of how we protect our values and protect what means the most to us.
Rarely are they the same thing. Brilliantly scripted with both tears of sadness and laughter coming easily, I think this will be a sort of cult classic.
