(1935) Captain Blood.
The first of two extremely well made swashbuckling films starring Errol Flynn. The second which is better than the first called "The Sea Hawk". If you're in the mood to see how it came about of how a certified doctor became a pirate and commander or leader of his ship, this film might be worth checking out. I'd describe this film more as an ADVENTURE with a dash of ROMANCE with of course alot of action involving thousands of extras. It's really quite a visual experience and very extravagantly made, directed by Michael Curtiz of "Casablanca" fame!!!
The first of 8 films Errol Flynn and Olivia De Havilland starred together.
Must.
4/4.
