Review of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) by Zane%20 B — 18 Jun 2018
I don't know how you juggle 12 characters, all of whom could (or have) had their own movie to themselves, and still not have a movie that feels rushed or crowded. You do it with teamwork and patience.
No single character is greater than the whole they all add elements that build a well constructive narrative. Captain America: Civil War is a perfect example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
What's equally impressive is how well the movie serves the greater story as a franchise and yet maintaining its singularity without feeling like it's just a chapter in a larger saga. It's great fun with well rounded complete characters that is emblematic of what a modern summer blockbuster can be.
