It amazes me that out of the other marvel first sequels (iron man 2, Thor 2, hulk 2?????), this is the one that got it right. This movie surpasses the first movie with the plot, storytelling, adventure, and character development.
The IMAX experience only enhanced the cinematography by leaps and bounds. This movie was meant to be seen in 3D, it was also helped by the 3D. This is now of my favorite marvel comic book movies now.
