Review of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) by Filip K — 17 May 2016
A character that was created as ultra patriotic war propaganda takes a stand against neo-fascism present in modern USA. Not only does it, sort of, expose abuse of state power concerning espionage and international politics, dictated by hegemonic super power such as USA, it downright destroys it in a blast of explosions, fistfights and firefights.
The idealism of "freedom" makes movie naive, but yet light and optimistic.
