Review of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) by Jack C — 19 May 2016

This story follows Captain America 70 years after the events of the first film, and certainly looks more modern and vibrant too, which gives a little credit to the authentic classic feel of the first. The Winter Soldier is a step up not only in how it carries the first film's story and characters forward, but also brings in the mastery of humour and action that made The Avengers such a treat.

It's at this point that we acknowledge MCU's universal appeal has something to do with how well it treats its most important target audience: the diehard fans.
