The anticipation was getting more and more with a little of impatient-ness when the Internet wasn't keeping its mouth shut about the film that could probably affect a person's experience, a person who hasn't seen the film yet. But only one popped-up theory on a character made an okay predictable turn in the film, but not completely to the turn that was expected. Seeing the film's ratings and trailers were building up the film's reputation along with the anticipation, and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" doesn't disappoint.

After fighting alongside with his Avenging comrades in the Invasion of New York, Captain America spent his time while trying to get used with the present and going on missions with Black Widow and S.H.I.E.L.D. It was then later that agency's director Nick Fury believes that the agency has been comprised after facing with an unexpected foe of the titular character, The Winter Soldier. The superhero film gets shaken when the political thriller vibe enters the roots whereas Captain America doesn't know who to trust as he becomes a fugitive for withholding what Fury told him. As he gets to the bottom of this sudden crisis, he sees a familiar face that would really shake his world when he tracks down the new foe.

The Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) focused on having the characters facing greater challenges, but not only the superheroes, S.H.I.E.L.D. as well. While we've been focusing on the heroes, the secret agency has been receiving a main focus in this Phase. We got a TV series that gives us a weekly MCU offering in-between films, adding into the puzzle with some depth. So basically, this Captain America-centric sequel is a S.H.I.E.L.D. film, with the heroes in the spotlight.

Comparing this film to its shared predecessors, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is a 5-star with granted desire. It's actually went up to become superior sequel and solo outing when it's stylishly action-packed at a sharp pace, amid the central comic mythological scale, with the visual effects as the reaction to the action into the back. With how much the scale is on the stake and the center, the characterization is run by the same elegancy to the story, and performed well as usual by the cast - especially the main cast and specifically Redford despite the turn-out. They would also occasionally use the humor method the lighten things up, which ads into the fun of enjoying the film with enough functioning qualities to be a 5-star.

This well-handled, gripping sequel went beyond its predecessor and added more depth to the definitive aspect of the titular hero. Despite how the violence was almost similarly executed to "The Dark Knight Rises", the aspectual qualities lifted this film to join the ranks next to "The Avengers" with little inferiority at an acceptable rate with its own creativity. (A+).
