Years ago one could say that a movie stunk because it was written in comic book fashion. But over and over again, graphic novels and one-shot stories have shown story-superiority over most other media at various times and in various forms.

Now we have Cpt. America- stuck in the middle of a 'I hate the government, drones, anything Bush and now some smatterings of the democrat agenda via thought control, life-long communist agenda & drones.'

I will first admit thought that the actor for the Captain is a good choice, he seemed to actually believe he was a God-fearing American.

About the African-American Nick Fury- bwahahahahaha. No. Sammy Jr. Jackson has never come across as a smart guy in a movie except for his role as a scientist in Jurassic Park 1.

Scarlett Johansson: has the same acting expression everytime she tries to be 'tough.' She acts like a low class smart ass, talks monotone, and doesn't capture the simple comic book character of a typified Russian female red head spy stereotype sex-bomb. She is also fat. She could at least have some muscle on her, but nooooooo. We get the bi-sexual Johansson.

The plot- there is none. It's taking itself so self-important seriously, uses the most common denominator simple terms to appeal to the college student mind of mush that one must marvel at the amount of time and talent spent to make it as stupid as possible to bring one or two points across to the masses.

Falcon was a good character with some depth until he picked up a gun- then we forgot everything we saw about him and he became part of the scenery.

The Captain America fighting was much more fun to watch than the Avengers- which looked like some kid with a stop motion camera and GIJOE action figures.

So, that was the pros, and now the cons:

- Nick Fury doesn't die.

- When we cannot decide how to transition to the next scene, the default direction is to blow some sh*t up ala Monty Python style (cue the general).

- The Winter soldier has eye make up like every character with a mask, UNTIL he takes it off, then all of a sudden he has only eyeliner.

- Scarlet Johansson was there to make young males come pay for the film and is in almost every scene & dialogue exchange for absolutely no reason. Her declaration of feelings of betrayal at the hands of SHIELD/HYDRA was as inspiring and moving as watching goldfish having sex.

- There is more, but, really- I'd need crayons to write with to give this the respect it deserves.
