Suspension of disbelief is to be expected in superhero films, but this film fails at immersing the audience into the story as it feels like some absurd alternate history featuring ridiculous enemies and weapons from a Star Wars story rather than being based during the second world war.
I went into this film hoping to see a Captain America fighting alongside the soldiers of Saving Private Ryan and got something straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon.
