Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by Anthony J — 25 Apr 2015
Another decent Marvel adaptation, which differentiates itself from the crowd with its WWII setting and its rather old-fashioned, non-ironic approach to its heroes and villains, which actually suits the character.
Chris Evans makes a likeable Cap and Hugo Weaving stays just the right side of camp as the Red Skull; meanwhile Tommy Lee Jones has all the best lines. Better than I expected.
