Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by Ivan J — 29 Oct 2018
The First Avenger is a rubbish title, only because people may not know the meaning of the title. I like the way they present Steve Rogers - who was played by Chris Evans. In a way where he's weak and brave it leaves him pretty vulnerable. One of part that looks pretty weird was when they CGI'd his head onto a skinny guys body.
I like how throughout the story they show how his body changes but his mind set doesn't change, he's always patriotic. Also I like character development for Agent Carter to build up to a show. I believe the post credit scene was perfect showing a new character (Nick Fury) who was played by Samuel Jackson. I can't comment on the acting since he only appeared at the end of the movie.
Chris Evans acting was brilliant and Hayley Atwell, who I don't believe is actually british, acting was point. It was Historically and Comic book accurate. If I had to give it a age, it would be for PG.
Grade: A-.
