Review of Captain America: Civil War (2016) by Darian T — 03 Oct 2016
My rating: 8.5/10.
Starts off slow (lots of dialogue) and the plot might be a bit too much to follow for some, but the action sequences are pretty intense and build up to a satisfying climax. Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and Tom Holland (Spiderman) stole the scenes in which they were in, but I have to give the Man of the Match award to Paul Rudd/Antman because he's still as fricking hilarious as ever.
Script/Direction: A.
Cast/Acting: A.
Production/Effects: A.
Bonus/Other: +10%.
Well worth the long wait and I think it pretty much lives up to the expectations and hype. It is certainly better than the Avengers movies...which makes me think that maybe, just maybe, Thor and Hulk (who are both absent in this movie) are the weak links, story-wise.
