Review of Captain America (1990) by Jon P — 04 Mar 2015
Starring evil Nazis with selective subtitles, a Transylvanian Red Skull and revered writer, J.D Salinger's son in the titular role, Albert Pyun's little-known take on Captain America is a real marvel.
Matt Salinger has about as much charisma as a lobotomised Channing Tatum and, thanks to a string of laughable coincidences and moronic revelations, Pyun's film is so-bad-it's-good funny from start to finish. If that's not enough, the movie also features not one, but TWO of the finest car-jackings in cinema history. "Would you pull the car over a minute please? I'm going to be sick.".
