Review of Capricorn One (1977) by Paul D — 26 May 2008
This wasn't anything that I hoped it would be. I feel the story was poorly told, and not much time or effort went into the plot nor the direction of the film. The acting was by no means fantastic, and the non-Rue characters hardly spoke at all, especially Simpson's character.
The movie seemed to be serious and dramatic, but didn't properly achieve the intended feeling. I realize that some people actually believe that humans have not been on the moon, so this was a way of representing this possible feeling, but I found this very hard to believe and go with.
The film just didn't seem to capture any aspect of this idea very well.
