Review of Capote (2005) by Kingfolderol — 12 Nov 2005
Not quite the gem that the critics is claiming it is, but pretty damn close. Hoffman is indeed as incredible as Truman Capote. I wouldn't quite go so far as to say that he "becomes" Capote, but I would say that he morphs into the character this movie creates quite perfectly.
This is one of those movies that doesn't seem all that spectacular while you're watching it, but will have you thinking about what you just witnessed long after leaving the theater. Very unsettling.
