Review of Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) by Brandon C — 22 May 2010
A bit of a bow-out to say to replace capitalism with democracy at the end. However, many interesting topics displayed. I would have appreciated it more if he addressed a solution to the existential freedom of not being handed out a job and pay and pension such as he describes from FDR.
Freedom without the confines of a systemic plan of economy seems to trump any freedom given within said system. Also all systems have benefits. The thrust of the argument is important and his focus on the practices of wall street and the [shadow] government seemingly running the country, really hits the mark.
