Review of Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) by Peter B — 20 Jun 2010
Whatever your view on moore its hard to deny he makes documentaries that hold you attention. With themes that are universal. Yet again here moore makes you think and question the world around you. Parts of this will make you angry and rightly so.
The insurance section especially is genuinely upsetting. Moore can be seen as manipulative for sure he puts his docs together to get the audience in his side. Yet even if he does so you are still left with the ideas -and the situations he presents- to mull over and form your own views on.
We really do just go about every day taking this all for granted, pre-occupied with what we're told we should want and have, its really scary when you think about how little control we all have in the grand scheme of things.
