Review of Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) by Derek B — 28 Jun 2010
Kind of the usual Michael Moore schtick, though with a bit less of the ambushing people in the entrance-way (which is no great loss) and a regrettable lack of the dark humour which made Roger And Me, for example, so compelling.
But these are facts that need to be made public, in particular the horrifying practice of "dead peasant" payments: whereby corporations take out life insurance policies on their staff, with themselves as beneficiaries.
It is at least 20 minutes too long.
