Review of Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) by Aimee S — 01 Jun 2010
I was really interested in this story, having had difficulty grasping the reasons behind our economic collapse for the simple fact that there are just so many reasons that things went wrong, dating back to the Reagan years.
I felt that Michael Moore did a great job showing the truth about the disappearance of the middle class and the utter greed and dominance of corporate America. I learned a lot that I did not know before, and Moore's biting sarcasm and humor helped to lighten a heavy subject.
No one can say he is not unbiased, and there were a few things that he didn't drill into as deeply as he might have, but in fairness, he probably had to pick and choose given it was a two hour movie.
I felt it was extremely well done overall and I would highly recommend it.
