Scorsese at his goofiest. De Niro chews the scenery every chance he gets, Nolte is completely incompetent and unlikable, and Juliette Lewis makes decisions that no sane individual in her situation would make, mainly under the guise that she's a "rebellious teenager.
" But even Scorsese's missteps are interesting to watch. Just don't expect another masterpiece.
