Review of Cape Fear (1991) by Jason M — 08 Jan 2009
Scorsese calls it the worst film he ever did because it's his most commercial film. However his skills are put to use here and technically it's flawless and Nolte and Lewis are first rate and it's nice to always see Mitchum and Peck no matter what film.
However De Niro is flawless and is at his most sinister and sadistic and is the real reason why I give the film a high rating as well as the classic orignal score.
