Not sure how Deniro didn't win a best actor award for his performance. He absolutely makes this movie as an ex con eager to settle the score with his lawer. This movie a remake of an old classic, is made by Deniro.
When he is on screen you pay attention and feel a little uneasy. He's a very sick man in this film. Nick Nolte plays the lawer and the man he seeks out to kill. Juliette Lewis is the daughter that at one scene Deniro tries to seduce while she's at school.
It's a disturbing scene but one that points out how sick he is. Great performance makes this a damn good film.
