Review of Can't Hardly Wait (1998) by Andruw F — 03 Oct 2016
I think this will be incredibly re-watchable. Lloyd Ahern II's cinematography is great! He also did the pilot of Huff and Deadwood, and I loved the cinematography in Huff, you can tell it's the same guy.
(I haven't seen Deadwood.) Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan's writing and directing are very good, I found it pretty unique, and I think it works to their advantage that they did both. Yes, the plot isn't anything new, but their spin on it is good.
There are so many stars in this, it's crazy. The main actors performances are passing, except Seth Green was doing something like he's never done, and Ethan Embry is pretty good, but he's just very likable.
I am surprised I hadn't seen this earlier. Mike Dexter's an asshole.
