Review of Cannonball Run II (1984) by Andy L — 24 Oct 2008
This is actually good. Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. are the coolest duo in the movie. Classic scene where Dean is dressed up as a catholic priest and tries pulling a chick in the bar where he says "What do you say you and I go back to my hotel room with a bottle of champagne?" - she's shocked and says ".
..But father???" and Dean replies "What's the matter? Haven't you seen Thornbirds?". True class by Dean. Gotta love him! Also the scene where Reynolds and DeLuise are pulled over by the cops for speeding - they tell the cop that they are chasing two commies in a police car dressed up like catho priests (Sammy and Dean).
Later the cops are right behind Sam and Dean who are listening in on the police radio when they hear the cops say "We are behind the two commies right now" and Sammy says "Commies? I have called a lot of things in my life but I have never been called a commy".
...and Dean sits next to him in a state of shock and says "I haven't even been called a Democrat"...hahaha....CLASSIC!
