Review of Cannibal! The Musical (1996) by Aaron S — 02 Dec 2007
"The sky is blue and all the leaves are green...".
This is a great movie that no one has seen. That may have more to do with it being produced and distributed by the low-budget master of B-movies, Troma Entertainment, than with whether it's a good movie or not.
It's full of catchy, hilarious songs which you'll find yourself singing or whistling when you least expect it. Also it features Japanese "Indians" and the brutal slaying of a snowman. What could be better?
This movie is also the source of one of my favorite quotes: "When things get really bad and the world looks its darkest, you just have to throw up your hands and say, 'well, alright.' 'cause it's probably gonna get a whole hell of a lot worse.".
