Review of Cannibal! The Musical (1996) by Tor S — 04 Sep 2009
A brilliant, refreshing modern classic from Troma, the company that has redefined the term "independent" for more than three decades. Low budget and intentionally amateurish, but not in that dreary "Dogme 95" way, mind you.
Nope, this is all fun and games. Some of the songs (most of them pretty bad!) drag on a bit too long, but hey, those scenes end up being kinda funny, too. A hilarious piece of cinema, bursting with originality.
