Review of Cannibal Taboo (2006) by Doctor S — 09 Jul 2016
An ancient cult, incest, ritual sacrifice, cannibalism, and of course, marionettes. Too slow and lacking in suspense for a horror/thriller, yet still weirdly watchable despite the 2 hour length due to the demented family unit dynamics.
Also fun to see softcore stalwarts Ashlie Rhey, Scott Carson, and Regina Russell in a different kind of movie while still showing some skin, particularly Ashlie who spends the final half-hour in a thong, fishnet stockings and little else.
The guy who plays the father displays some hootworthy hamminess.
