High-water mark of exploitation films that truly go for the gusto in depicting disturbing, violent imagery. Rape, real animal death, beheadings, cannibalism -- it's all here, folks! Needless to say, watching 'Cannibal Holocaust', for uninitiated or sensitive cinema buffs, may damage one psychologically.
That could be the highest praise I can give, actually.
