Review of Cannibal Holocaust (1980) by Wesley J — 06 Jan 2009

This film accomplishes the goal that the film makers were trying for. As far as it being a movie that suits my personal taste, ummmmm, no. Personally, I give the movie a 4. But due to the fact that I understand what was trying to be done here, and the fact that there are people out there who are fans of this style of filmmaking, I give it an extra 2 points for being at the top of its class.

I understand how this is a great accomplishment of the film makers. I understand why there is a strong cult following behind this film. It's worth 6. I can almost give it a 7 because the title song is a beautiful melody, but I can't.
